As director of Primary Care Sports Medicine at The Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Casey Batten draws on more than a decade of diverse experience. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin, having previously earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science at the University of Wisconsin. After medical school, Dr. Casey Batten served his residency years at the University of Tennessee, where he eventually distinguished himself as chief resident.
Dr. Casey Batten then relocated to California to complete a clinical fellowship in sports medicine through the University of California-Davis and Berkeley Sports Medicine. He later became an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California-San Francisco and soon accepted a role as Associate Team Physician for the University of California-Berkeley Intercollegiate Athletics.
Dr. Batten advanced to become Head Team Physician for the University in 2010, having also served as urgent care and primary care physician with Berkeley University Health Services for two years. He now serves as Lead Team Physician on the medical team for the Los Angeles Rams, in addition to his work with Kerlan Jobe.
